Barbados welcomed the commencement of its cruise season on October 10th, as the Carnival Venezia graced the island with its inaugural visit. According to an official statement, Barbados is set to host 18 maiden calls and 217 homeporting vessels during the 2023-24 cruise season. With over 25 prominent cruise lines planning voyages to and from the island in the coming months, Cruise Barbados envisions an impressive total of over 700,000 cruise passengers from October 2023 to April 2024.
Tia Broomes, the Senior Business Development Manager at Cruise Barbados, expressed their delight in welcoming cruisers back to Barbados, whether they are returning visitors or experiencing the destination for the first time. The enthusiastic response from cruise line partners and the growing interest in Barbados reaffirms its allure as a prime cruise destination. Broomes also emphasized that Barbados is well-prepared for the upcoming cruise season and eagerly anticipates sharing the rich tapestry of Barbadian culture, delectable cuisine, vibrant traditions, and serene beaches with their guests, making this season one of the most memorable yet.
