At the October 24 awards ceremony, Barbados Tourism Management Inc. (BTMI) representatives Gloria Carter and Cedric Lynch, along with Liam Mannion and Aashna Beriya of Mirabelle Communications, proudly presented the award. Following the announcement, Barbados locals took to Facebook to celebrate, with one user, Steven Downie, sharing, “I have the greatest respect for our hard-working Minister of Tourism, The Hon. Ian Gooding-Edgehill. A Great Gentleman,” and others commending the Barbados team for their efforts.
Barbados’ tourism sector has seen a series of accolades this year, including the recent distinction of the Barbados Food and Rum Festival as the Caribbean’s top culinary event for the second consecutive year.
