As Barbados approaches its 58th Independence Anniversary, the government has unveiled a packed schedule of events to honor the island’s rich heritage, culture, and unity. Minister of Home Affairs and Information, Wilfred Abrahams, announced the lineup in a press conference on Saturday, inviting all Barbadians to partake in this month-long tribute to the island’s resilience and vibrant spirit.
“It’s that time of year when we come together as one people,” Minister Abrahams remarked. “This month isn’t just about celebrating Independence Day; it’s about celebrating who we are. From the arts to our military traditions, we’ll be showcasing the best of Barbados.”
