Barbados is stepping boldly into the digital era: as of July 1, 2025, its Immigration Department has officially launched an online entry visa application portal, enhancing convenience and efficiency for travellers worldwide. This new portal joins the EZPay+ online payment system, which has handled all immigration payment types since March 14, 2025.
At the press conference held at Immigration HQ on Princess Alice Highway, Minister of Home Affairs and Information Wilfred Abrahams announced that the new digital tools aim to significantly improve customer experience by eliminating queues, minimizing in-person visits, and driving overall departmental efficiency.

The upgraded online entry visa portal, now accessible via immigration.gov.bb, allows travellers who need a visa to apply directly from their devices, no office visits required. Meanwhile, the worldwide adoption of EZPay+ means fees for immigration services (paper or digital) can be paid in advance, slashing wait times and cutting trips to the department.
A later enhancement to the transformation effort includes the integration of BPS courier service, enabling visa and document delivery straight to applicants for even smoother service—no pick-ups necessary.

Additionally, Minister Abrahams cautioned against circulating false visa advisory posts, confirming that official announcements will only appear through the Barbados Government Information Service (BGIS) and trusted media outlets.
