“Remote work has surged globally since the pandemic shifted how we approach our jobs. However, many Irish professionals might still be unaware of the wealth of opportunities that await them abroad,” said BTMI, highlighting the potential for Irish workers to embrace this unique lifestyle.

The programme has already proven appealing to Irish nationals. In its debut year, 68 Irish workers applied for the Welcome Stamp, with 52 successful approvals, meaning over 75% of applicants got the green light to work from Barbados. Since then, the programme has continued to attract interest, with 86 applications and a solid 73% approval rate—indicating Barbados is still keen to welcome Irish professionals and their families to its shores.
