From crystal-clear beaches and rich cultural heritage to its world-famous hospitality, Barbados has long been a magnet for travelers seeking more than just a beach holiday. And during Crop Over—the island’s biggest cultural festival—the energy is unmatched. With masquerade bands, calypso tents, rum-fueled parties, and street parades, Crop Over offers the perfect setting for global stars and local legends to share one stage.
Tyla’s appearance at Tipsy Music Festival marks a new chapter for the Barbadian entertainment landscape. Known for her genre-bending blend of Amapiano, R&B, and pop, Tyla skyrocketed to fame with her triple-platinum hit “Water,” earning her a 2024 GRAMMY Award for Best African Music Performance. Her debut album TYLA made history as the highest-charting debut for a female African soloist on the Billboard 200.

Sharing the stage with Tyla will be Soca icon Machel Montano, a name synonymous with Caribbean music. Their joint performance is expected to bring together the rhythmic pulse of Soca and Afrobeats, offering festivalgoers a once-in-a-lifetime musical fusion that reflects the global reach of Caribbean culture.
According to TMF organiser Zamani Moodie, “Bringing Tyla to Barbados during Crop Over is more than just a concert—it’s a celebration of cultures converging on one island. Barbados continues to show it can host the world while staying rooted in its own vibrant identity.”
