According to Barbados Today, The Hon. Noel Lynch, Barbados’ Ambassador to the United States and the Organisation of American States (OAS), has described Barbados as one of the best-governed countries in the world. He highlighted that global commentators often recognize Barbados as a small nation on the path to becoming a global powerhouse. These sentiments were expressed during the Barbados Comes to Atlanta (BCTA) Business Forum held at the Clayton County International Park in Atlanta, Georgia.

Lynch emphasized that Barbados has faced its fair share of challenges but is currently undergoing a remarkable recovery that surpasses expectations. He proudly noted that the nation is progressing and gaining international recognition by putting itself on the map, thus demonstrating that a small developing state can emerge as a global powerhouse.

The ambassador cited the Bridgetown Initiative as a prime example of Barbados’ global influence. He elaborated on this initiative, explaining that it aims to restructure the global financial architecture in a way that benefits not only Barbados but also other small developing countries. By implementing necessary measures to ensure sustainability and resilience for future generations, Barbados seeks to lead by example and support its counterparts in similar circumstances.
