Barbados continues to reign as the Caribbean’s passport powerhouse, securing the top position for the ninth consecutive year, according to the latest report from the 2024 Henley Passport Index. London-based global citizenship and residence advisory firm Henley & Partners revealed that Barbados holds the title for the most powerful passport in the Caribbean region, claiming the 22nd spot globally with visa-free access to an impressive 165 countries.

The top five most robust passports in the Caribbean for 2024 include The Bahamas, St Kitts and Nevis/St Vincent and the Grenadines (tied at No. 3), Antigua and Barbuda, and Trinidad and Tobago. Notably, Barbados stands out with its remarkable global standing and unparalleled access to international destinations.

Jamaica Climbs the Ranks: A Rising Star in Caribbean Passport Power

Jamaica has made significant strides in passport strength, securing the 10th position on the list of the most powerful Caribbean passports for 2024. Demonstrating improvement from its 2023 ranking, Jamaica now holds the 60th spot globally, showcasing a steady ascent from previous years. In 2023, the country ranked 63rd globally, 65th in 2022, and 68th in 2021.
